Lee (he/him) Youth Worker Hi, my name is Lee, I am a JNC qualified Youth Worker with over 20 years of youth work experience where I have been privileged to have a career in a sector that impacted my life massively as a young person. I am a champion of universal services for young people, the importance of having a safe space to experience new opportunities is priceless and I truly believe that the relationships built in the open access environment removes many barriers that prevent young people accessing targeted support for the issues that are affecting their lives. My team and I are responsible for the delivery of the services to local young people and their voices will shape every project and session that are included in our youth offer. Bethany (she/her) Youth Worker I have worked at The Pump for 4 years as a youth worker. I deliver on a number of projects including youth clubs, SEND support, and holiday provision. I have a real passion for developing creative opportunities for young people and take a lead role within our MakerSpace where I lead sessions and workshops on 3D printing ad T-shirt design. This has led to being able to train some of our Young Leaders to be able to upscale the creative work that we deliver within the centre. Simon (he/him) Youth Worker I have been a Youth Worker at The Pump for the last 4 years as a Sessional Youth Worker and it is a brilliant place to work. I really love working in a space for young people that they know is theirs and they have someone they can trust when advice is needed. I have experience in supporting young people in training and employability work and also work for Birmingham Children's Trust supporting local families. Simone (she/her) Youth Worker The Pump has been my place of work for nearly a year now, it is my first youth work position and I love it. The place, the vibe, the young people and the team, everyone is here to make a difference for young people. The young people know it is their safe space and I love the fact they come to us with their ideas knowing we will work with them to make them happen. Lorna (she/her) Youth Worker My name is Lorna and I have been at The Pump for coming up to a year now. I support in the Youth Club sessions where I often take lead in the food offer that we provide. I have a passion for supporting young people with SEND and I love working with young people and their families within our sensory session to make the space accessible and welcoming as possible for all young people. Lucy (she/her) Alternative Provision Support Worker My name is Lucy, I have been delivering on our schools work for nearly a year now but have been involved at The Pump in different projects for a number of years. Getting to work with young people and help them re-engage with learning is something I am very proud of. There is nothing better than seeing a young person use our space to develop their own hobbies and creative talents to develop and achieve in something that they are passionate about.
